Spam Attacks
Over the past few days my poor ‘catch-all’ email address on the server has been hammered by Mail Delivery Error reports. It appears that some scummy spammer is using my domain name with randomly generated email addresses to send spam. Even though it looks like they come from my domain, they actually don’t; the address is just faked. I’ve no idea how many have gone out with these addresses faked in the header but it looks like a lot. I just wanted to apologise if you did get any random mail from an ‘@anthonyfinucane.com‘ address and it was spam.
For now I’ve disabled the catch-all address and all I can do is hope that it will stop soon. Fucking spammers!
On a sidenote, comment counts on posts have been a bit all over the place recently but I’ve found a fix thanks to WordPress.org so I should get to implement that this week.
