Confessions
My long wait came to an end this week with the release of Madonna’s new album Confessions On a Dance Floor and I have to say that I’m utterly in love with it! She promised us a pure dance album and she’s delivered the goods. There are samples from Abba (obviously), Donna Summer, Jackson 5 and some of her earlier stuff (Among others; Pappa Dont’ Preach is in the opening to Let It Will Be and Die Another Day is in the ending of Isaac) which blend with the tracks superbly.
There are rumours that there will be 5 singles released off this album. Apart from Hung up and Sorry (coming in December/January) my prediction for the other 3 would be: Jump, Push and there were rumours of I Love New York making it to the singles section. Of the whole album, I Love New York is the only one that has yet to grow on me. It’s currently the only track that I consider skipping over. I just haven’t warmed to it yet. However, the rest of the album more than makes up for it.
If you’re a Madonna fan and you don’t have this album already, get it today. You won’t be disappointed.
